The Mission of Greater St. Louis Honor Flight is to recognize our veterans – most urgently our World War II veterans – with a day of honor, remembrance and celebration. We do this with a one-day, all-expenses paid trip to Washington, DC to visit the World War II Memorial, built to honor their service and sacrifice.
Joshua Chamberlain Society
The Joshua Chamberlain Society (“JCS”) is a grass roots, 501(c)(3) federally tax-exempt charity that was formed with the mission of providing long-term support to local veterans who have sustained permanent combat injuries while fighting the long war against terror for our Nation. The JCS also provides long-term support to the children of local veterans who gave the ultimate sacrifice.
Founded in St. Louis, Missouri, the JCS has expanded into a second chapter that serves the Nashville, Tennessee area. Each chapter runs independently so donors are assured that their contributions go directly to their own local JCS Heroes.
The JCS adopts Wounded Heroes and their families for life with multi-faceted support in order to improve the quality of life for these great and brave Americans.
KUTO – Kids Under Twenty One

KUTO, Kids Under Twenty One was founded in 1987 by friends and family of Billy Crowell, a St. Louis area young man who died by suicide.  Since that time, KUTO has delivered inclusive suicide prevention awareness, outreach and education and training across the greater St. Louis community.  Working with public, private and parochial middle and high schools throughout the eastern region of Missouri, KUTO has established long standing relationships with many districts.
KUTO’s vision is a community free of adolescent suicide, where teens lead emotionally healthy lives. Our mission is to prepare teens – and the adult gatekeepers in their lives – with the skills, confidence and courage to cope before, during and after a crisis. KUTO’s spirit of ‘teens helping teens help themselves’ builds self-confidence, inspires healthy coping and self-care, and brings hope that life can be worth living.

As our membership has grown, so has the scope of our mission. We also honor first responders as well as our military veterans. Additionally we have an active Help On The Homefront (HOTH) program, which provides assistance to our veterans and their families.
Safer Homes Collaborative

The Safer Homes Collaborative is a joint effort between the gun owning community and the suicide prevention community to raise awareness that suicide can be prevented through safe gun storage.  Firearms are the leading method by which people end their lives in the United States and Missouri.  Statistically, more people attempt suicide by overdose or suffocation; however more people die in a suicide attempt with a firearm.  In fact, six out of ten suicide deaths in Missouri are with a firearm.
