The JCS also provides long-term support to the children of local veterans who gave the ultimate sacrifice.
Founded in St. Louis, Missouri, the JCS has expanded into a second chapter that serves the Nashville, Tennessee area. Each chapter runs independently so donors are assured that their contributions go directly to their own local JCS Heroes.

KUTO – Kids Under Twenty One
http://www.kuto.org

KUTO, Kids Under Twenty One was founded in 1987 by friends and family of Billy Crowell, a St. Louis area young man who died by suicide.  Since that time, KUTO has delivered inclusive suicide prevention awareness, outreach and education and training across the greater St. Louis community.  Working with public, private and parochial middle and high schools throughout the eastern region of Missouri, KUTO has established long standing relationships with many districts.
KUTO’s vision is a community free of adolescent suicide, where teens lead emotionally healthy lives. Our mission is to prepare teens – and the adult gatekeepers in their lives – with the skills, confidence and courage to cope before, during and after a crisis. KUTO’s spirit of ‘teens helping teens help themselves’ builds self-confidence, inspires healthy coping and self-care, and brings hope that life can be worth living.
