Clothing Drive 9th Annual Clothing Drive results in Saint Louis Elks Lodge #9 collecting and delivering 852 items In early January the 852 items collected during the 9th annual Clothing Drive were delivered to Operation Food Search ( https://www.operationfoodsearch.org ) which included 472 items collected in November by Lodge members (188 shirts, 177, coats, 52 pants, 24 hats, 13 gloves, 11 shoes, 4 scarves, & 3 belts) and an additional 375 blankets collected by Marching Bands during the 40th Annual Ameren Thanks for Giving Parade( https://holidaysinstl.com/thanksgiving-day-parade ) which were brought by the following performers; Alton High School ‘Marching 100’ Band, Jacksonville Drum Institute ‘Drumline’, Lindenwood University Band, John Ford ‘Pipe Band’, Madison Senior High School ‘Marching Trojans’ Band, Mehlville High School ‘Marching Panthers’ Band, Northwest High School ‘Spirit of the Northwest’ Band, Ritenour High School ‘Marching Huskies’ Band, Vashon High School ‘Marching Wolverines’ Drumline, and the Wright City High School ‘Wildcat Pride’ Marching Band.Throughout the rest of December, the public is welcome to deposit items into the large collection box near the South door of Saint Louis Elks Lodge #9 which is located @ 12481 Ladue Road, Saint Louis, MO 63141.Pictured above L to R – Tim Luby (Past Exalted Ruler), Ryan Jennings (Exalted Ruler), Mark Goddard (Past Exalted Ruler). We collected 680 items which included; 170 Blankets, 198 Coats, 82 Gloves, 10 Dresses, 57 Pants, 23 Scarves, 74 Shirts, and 66 Socks which were delivered to Operation Food Search January 10th. Special thanks to Co-Chairs Matt Harvey & Tim Luby plus the following who helped sort and bag; Dimah Mohammed, Michael Fleishour, Harry Williams, Tim Smith, Khary Floyd, Mark Goddard, Doug Reuther, Michael Schnettler, Joel Reuther, and Joe St. Pierre). In addition, more praise is due to Event Hosts; Mike Campbell, Missy Dillon, Tom Donnelly, Mike Egel, Jamie Estes, Mark Goddard, Brandon Gray, Matt Harvey, John Israel, Nicole Jenkins, Travis Liebig, Tim Luby, Bridget Nations, Lindsay Parrott, Chirs Phillips, Chris Schmitt, and the Entertainment Committee) who each provided services & / or $100 towards the band.
